About Us

The Iraq Investment and Reconstruction Task Force (IIRTF) of the U.S. Department of Commerce and this Web site serve as clearinghouses of information for U.S. companies interested in Iraq. The IIRTF works closely with the U.S Embassy in Iraq, other U.S. Government agencies, and international organizations to provide U.S. companies with the latest information on the commercial environment in Iraq and potential reconstruction business opportunities. The IIRTF also works with these organizations, U.S. and Iraqi business interests to help development the private sector through the improvement of a market conducive to investment, trade, and private sector growth. Susan Hamrock Mann is the Director of the Iraq Investment and Reconstruction Task Force.
