The Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) program publishes a quarterly count of employment and wages reported by employers covering 98 percent of U.S. jobs, available at the county, MSA, state and national levels by industry.

Orleans County, La., had the biggest over-the-year percentage increase in employment (5.0 percent) in March 2008; nationally, jobs grew 0.4 percent. Westmoreland, Pa., had the largest gain in average weekly wages (14.9 percent) in the first quarter of 2008, compared with a national increase of 2.4 percent. More...
