EPA Headquarters

EPA's main campus at Federal Triangle consists of a cluster of adjacent buildings including Ariel Rios North and South, EPA East and West, and the Ronald Reagan Building. The main campus is located around the Woodrow Wilson Plaza between 12th and 14th Streets and Pennsylvania and Constitution Avenues NW. Taking the metro

Federal Triangle Stop

EPA Federal Triangle campus is most easily accessed by taking DC's subway, commonly called "Metro." The campus is located at the Federal Triangle Metro stop on the Blue / Orange Lines.

  • Get off the Metro at Federal Triangle and go up three sets of escalators.

  • To your right is Ariel Rios North and to your left is Ariel Rios South.

  • Across the courtyard in front of you is the Reagan Building.

  • EPA East and West are along Constitution Avenue. To get there, turn around, walk out to 12th Street, turn right and walk to Constitution Avenue. EPA East is the first building on the right, followed by the Mellon Auditorium and EPA West.

The campus is also walking distance from the Metro Center stop, which is accessible by Red, Blue, and Orange lines.

  1. Come up at the F and 12th Street Exit of Metro Center
  2. Turn right (south) onto 12th Street
  3. Walk two blocks, crossing E Street and Pennsylvania Avenue
  4. The EPA campus is on your right

  1. North on I-395 North
  2. Cross the Potomac River
  3. Bear to the left to exit on 14th Street NW
  4. Cross the National Mall
  5. Right onto Pennsylvania Avenue NW
  6. The campus will be on your right at 12th Street NW

From Dulles International Airport/areas west

  1. East on the Dulles Airport Access Road / Toll Road. Cross I-495 (the Beltway).
  2. Merge onto I-66 East.
  3. Cross the Potomac River
  4. Continue straight on US-50 East/Constitution Avenue
  5. Left onto 15th Street NW
  6. Right onto Pennsylvania Avenue
  7. The campus will be on your right at 12th Street NW

From Ronald Reagan National Airport/areas south

  1. Exit north from the first airport onto the George Washington Parkway
  2. North at the first exit on I-395 North
  3. Cross the Potomac River
  4. Bear to the left to exit onto 14th Street NW
  5. Cross the National Mall
  6. Right onto Pennsylvania Avenue NW
  7. The campus will be on your right at 12th Street NW

From Baltimore/Washington International Airport/areas north

  1. West on I-195
  2. South on Exit 2B to MD-295 towards Washington
  3. Right onto New York Avenue/US-50 West, remain on New York for several miles
  4. Left onto 14th Street
  5. Left onto Pennsylvania Avenue NW
  6. The campus will be on your right at 12th Street NW

From Rockville/areas northwest

  1. South on I-270
  2. Merge onto I-495 South (The Beltway) towards Northern Virginia
  3. Cross the Potomac River
  4. South on George Washington Memorial Parkway/Georgetown Pike at Exit 43-44 (to VA-193)
  5. North on I-395 Exit
  6. Cross the Potomac River
  7. Bear to the left to exit on 14th Street NW
  8. Cross the National Mall
  9. Right onto Pennsylvania Avenue NW
  10. The campus will be on your right at 12th Street NW

Parking

Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center

There is an underground parking garage available for guests at $7/hour, not to exceed $18/day. The garage entrace is located at 13-1/2 Street off of Pennsylvania Avenue, opposite Freedom Plaza.

Building access

Guests visiting EPA Headquarters need to have a valid photo identification to enter, may be asked to go through a metal detector, and must be signed-in and escorted by an EPA employee. Visitors may enter at these locations:

Ariel Rios North and South: Federal Triangle Metro stop entrances
EPA East and West: Constitution Avenue entrances
Ronald Reagan Building: 14th Street entrance
