ANNOUNCEMENTS

Region 9 will host a National Transit Institute (NTI) titled "FTA Real Estate Requirements"   The two-day course will be held at our offices at 201 Mission Street, Suite 1860 on May 22-23, 2007.

Region 9 grantees are strongly encouraged to attend this course which is being conducted in San Francisco after convincing FTA HQ that the significant number of both large and medium sized projects being implemented here made it a deserving location.  For all these projects, land acquisition plays a key part and guidance until now has been somewhat limited.

Please note that tuition will be waived for federal, state and local government employees who work in transportation or related areas. Please visit the NTI website to find out additional details and to register at the earliest.  A similar course in Dallas for December 2006 is full, and so was the recent one in Boston.  http://www.ntionline.com/
