In the case of a human pandemic, EPA is prepared to provide the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) technical assistance on antimicrobial and other pesticide uses against human flu viruses, as appropriate. There are products registered specifically for use against the human flu A virus for use in a variety of settings, including hospitals, homes, and office buildings. EPA believes these products will be effective against future strains that might cause a human pandemic.
