Vehicles Systems Research

Vehicle research involves developing more crash worthy, energy efficient and environmentally friendly transportation technologies. The research is an interdisciplinary approach which focuses on:

• Studying the design, simulation, and testing of vehicle (buses, trucks, trains and locomotives, and automobiles, including hybrid, electric, and other alternative-fuel vehicles) components and of vehicles interacting with their environment.
• Examine safety, structural integrity, durability, performance, maintainability, noise, fuel economy, brake performance, emissions, and alternative fuel systems.
• Developing intelligent and autonomous vehicles systems.
