Owns and/or manages 979 properties, totaling 33.7 million square feet of space; these include 39 historic buildings, 11 land ports of entry, and 21 buildings with Energy Star designations.
Maintains a collection of 96 pieces of fine art and 24 installed Art in Architecture works.
Operates a fleet of 14,164 vehicles, 6,748 of which use alternative fuels.
Outleases 209,300 square feet of vacant space to private businesses and the general public; these outleases added $3.8 million to the Federal Buildings Fund for building upkeep in 2007.
Awarded more than 44% of its total contracting dollars to small businesses.
Boasts outstanding tenant satisfaction with nearly 82% reporting "very satisfied" or above on the 2008 GSA/Gallup customer satisfaction survey.
Maintains 93,356 phone/data lines throughout the region.
Recycled 6,588 tons of waste in 2007, generating $179,330 in revenue, avoiding $45,783 in shipping/disposal costs, and diverting 76% of its waste from landfills.
Donated $49.7 million worth of excess and surplus property to federal agencies, state agencies, and local non-profit organizations in 2007.
