Rating

What This Rating Means

NOT PERFORMING
Results Not Demonstrated

A rating of Results Not Demonstrated (RND) indicates that a program has not been able to develop acceptable performance goals or collect data to determine whether it is performing.
  • The program's measures are not outcome oriented, and it has limited baseline data for assessing progress. The program has frequently revised annual performance goals, limiting its ability to assess annual performance and progress toward achieving long-term goals.
  • The program is unable to measure improved efficiencies or cost effectiveness. The program has not yet begun using its efficiency measure. Baseline data will not be available until the close of FY 2007.
  • The program fills an existing need. ODEP provides policy development, technical assistance and dissemination of effective practices to DOL, other Federal agencies and employers.

Improvement Plan

About Improvement Plans

We are taking the following actions to improve the performance of the program:

  • Maintaining a consistent set of performance indicators to measure progress toward achieving long-term goals and developing a valid performance management tracking system for collecting data.
  • Collecting baseline data and out-year data to measure program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conducting a rigorous evaluation to assess the impact and effectiveness of the program's policy and coordination functions.
