Enabling JavaScript and Cookies
To access the full functionality of NSCEP resources you should enable JavaScript and cookies on your browser. Access to Display Documents, and Shopping Cart will be severely limited or not possible without enabling JavaScript and cookies.
Follow the instructions below to enable JavaScript and cookies on Internet Explorer, Netscape or Firefox.

Internet Explorer 6 for PC
To enable JavaScript
- From the Tools menu select Internet Options.
- Select the Security tab, and then select the Custom Level button.
- Scroll down until you see Scripting options.
- Make sure the Enable radio button
under Active scripting is selected.
- Click OK to save changes.
To enable Cookies
- From the Tools menu select Internet Options.
- Select the Privacy tab, and then click the Advanced button.
- Click both the Accept radio buttons.
- Click OK to save changes.
Internet Explorer 5 for Macintosh
JavaScript
- From the Explorer menu select Preferences
- Expand the Web Browser menu and select Web content
- Check the checkboxes for Show style sheets
and Enable scripting
- Click on OK
Cookies
- From the Explorer menu select Preferences
- Expand the Receiving Files menu and select Cookies
- From the drop-down menu after When receiving cookies
select Never Ask
- Click on OK
Netscape 7 for PC
JavaScript
- From the Edit menu select Preferences
- Click on Advanced, then open the Scripts and Windows subsection
- Under Enable JavaScript for click the checkbox next to Navigator
- Click on OK
Cookies
- From the Edit menu select Preferences
- Expand the Privacy & Security menu
- Select Cookies
- Check the radio button for Enable all cookies
- Click on OK
Netscape 6 for PC
JavaScript
- From the Edit menu select Preferences
- Click on Advanced
- Click in the checkbox next to Enable JavaScript for Navigator
- Click on OK
Cookies
- From the Edit menu select Preferences
- Expand the Privacy & Security menu
- Select Cookies
- Check the radio button for Enable all cookies
- Click on OK
Netscape 4 for PC
JavaScript and Cookies
- From the Edit menu select Preferences
- Click on Advanced category to display the Advanced options
- Ensure the Enable JavaScript and Enable style sheets checkboxes are checked and the Accept all cookies radio button is selected
- Click OK to save the changes
Netscape 7 for Macintosh
JavaScript
- From the Netscape menu select Preferences
- Expand the Advanced option
- Select Scripts & Plugins
- Under Enable JavaScript for click in the checkbox next to Navigator
- Click on OK
Cookies
- From the Netscape menu select Preferences
- Expand the Privacy & Security menu
- Select Cookies
- Check the radio button for Enable all cookies
Firefox 1.5 for PC
To enable JavaScript
- Click on Tools, then Options...
- Select Content icon along the panel top edge
- Check the box next to Enable JavaScript
- Click the Enable JavaScript Advanced... button to open the Advanced JavaScript Settings box
- Check the boxes under Allow scripts to section that
you want to allow
- Click OK
- Click OK
To enable Cookies
- Click on Tools, then Options...
- Select the Privacy icon along the panel top edge
- Click on the Cookies tab
- Check the box corresponding to Allow sites to set Cookies
- Click OK to save changes
Firefox 1.0 for PC
To enable JavaScript
- Click on Tools, then Options...
- Select Web Features icon in the left-hand panel
- Under the Web Features section, check the box next to Enable JavaScript
- Click the Advanced button to open the Advanced JavaScript Options box
- Check the boxes under Allow scripts to section that you want to allow
- Click OK
- Click OK
To enable Cookies
- Click on Tools, then Options...
- Select the Privacy icon in the left-hand panel
- Click on To enable Cookies in Firefox
- Select the Privacy icon in the left panel
- Check the box corresponding to Allow sites to set cookies
- Click OK to save changes
