The Area Civil Rights Manager contributes to and supports the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center's (BARC) mission to protect the civil rights of all employees and to ensure equal employment opportunity by jointly developing initiatives to attract and retain under represented EEO groups to BARC for employment

Supports and proactively coordinates initiatives designed to attract minorities, women, and persons with disabilities to employment with ARS by participating/supporting outreach events, career fairs and recruitment events at universities and conferences
