Single Substance Request (CDX Query Function)This service invokes a series of predefined information request functions that return information in XML format synchronously (i.e., the Exchange Network partner waits for the results to be returned). The following are the types of queries available: getSubstanceByCAS: Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Registry Number (string format). This request may be called by passing parameters such as Current CAS numbers and Former CAS numbers. getSubstanceByName: Name (string). This parameter may be an EPA Name, Systematic Name, or Related Term/Synonym. The output is all SRS information about any names that match that name. getSubstanceByMatchByName: Name (string). This parameter can be an EPA Name, Systematic Name, or Related Term/Synonym. The output is Yes or No depending on whether the name is in SRS or not. getSubstanceByEPAID: EPA identifier (string) getSubstanceByTSN: Taxonomic Serial Number (string) getSubstanceByALTIDSource: Alternate Identifier and Source Acronym Please go to the Exchange Network - Substance Registry System (http://www.exchangenetwork.net/exchanges/cross/srs.htm) to retrieve instructions on implementing the SRS web services - the guidance is available under the "Implementation Resources" section.  Web ServiceSystem Administrator
Substance List Request (CDX Solicit Function)This service invokes a series of predefined information request functions that return response information in XML format asynchronously (i. e., the Exchange Network partner waits for a notification to retrieve results). This service is best for obtaining bulk lists from the SRS. The following are the types of solicit requests available: getSubstanceListByCAS - List of Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) Registry Numbers (string format). This request may be called by passing parameters such as Current CAS numbers and Former CAS numbers. getSubstanceListBySource - Source acronym (string). A single source acronym may be provided. getSubstanceListByEPAIDs - List of EPA identifiers (string) getSubstanceListByNamesExact - List of Names (string). This argument can be an EPA Name, Systematic Name, or Related Term/Synonym. getSubstanceListByCharacteristics - List of substance characteristics such as allergen, food, etc. getSubstanceListByCategoryClassifications - List of substance category classifications (string) such as Family, Genus, Group, Kingdom, Order getSubstanceListByListNames - Any part of a name. (The system returns all records that contain the parameter provided.) Please go to the Exchange Network - Substance Registry System (http://www.exchangenetwork.net/exchanges/cross/srs.htm) to retrieve instructions on implementing the SRS web services - the guidance is available under the "Implementation Resources" section.Web ServiceSystem Administrator
Add Substance to List Request (CDX Submit Function)This service receives payloads for the submissions of new program related terms and synonyms asynchronously. Exchange Network partners may populate the XML schema for the Submit Method with data they wish to add to SRS. There is only one submit method: The program office must submit a core set of mandatory fields (e.g., name, source, EPA ID or CAS# or Internal tracking number) and may also submit additional optional fields (e.g., alternate ID, reason for regulation). Please go to the Exchange Network - Substance Registry System (http://www.exchangenetwork.net/exchanges/cross/srs.htm) to retrieve instructions on implementing the SRS web services - the guidance is available under the "Implementation Resources" section.  Web ServiceSystem Administrator
SRS Direct LinkThe SRS Direct Link enables a user to click a hyperlink on his or her computer screen, which then opens specific screens in SRS. For example, a user viewing information about benzene on his or her computer could click a hyperlink that would open the benzene Substance Details screen in the SRS. The SRS Direct Link passes user-developed parameters to hit against relevant data from the SRS. The documentation screen provides implementation instructions for partners to build URLs to the SRS. Please select the hyperlink under Documentation to retrieve instructions on implementing the SRS Direct Link.EMG_Substance_Search.docSystem to System URL linkSystem Administrator
