| Summary: | OIG investigative staff assisted the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida during oral arguments before the 11th District Court of Appeals in Miami on a case related to the 1996 crash of a ValuJet Airlines plane. SabreTech is appealing its 1999 criminal conviction on charges of recklessly causing the transportation in air commerce of hazardous material (oxygen generators). The three-judge panel is expected to issue a decision in approximately 30 days. |
