Broadcast Services

EPA offers the broadcast media access to EPA's Studio One facilities and services on a request basis. In addition to providing live audio and/or video feeds, the EPA maintains a video archive.

EPA Studio One is located at 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington DC on the 6th floor of EPA headquarters. Room 6330 Ariel Rios North. For more information or coordination of any of our services you may contact: Studio Director, Ron Slotkin, slotkin.ron@epa.gov

Obtain video from EPA news events or stock library (Fee)
The EPA video archive contains 3500 videos and dates back to 1972. The quality varies based on format and age of the tape. Use keywords to specify the nature of the footage you seek--Email the Director.
Use EPA Studio One to conduct studio interviews with EPA experts or senior officials
Requests to interview an EPA expert or official should be made through the Office of Media Relations by phone (202-564-4355). After an interview schedule has been established, or if more information about the studio facilities is needed, email the Studio Director.
Receive an exclusive live interview feed with an EPA expert or senior official (via Verizon's AVOC) (Fee)
EPA's Studio One maintains a two fiber connections with Verizon's AVOC. Our distribution amp can be quickly connected to any of the major networks or other vendors located at the AVOC. The feed is available for the cost of your connection to our DA. Email the Director.
Receive a live A/V broadcast feed from one of EPA's press events when available (via Verizon's AVOC) (Fee)
EPA's Studio One has a fiber network connecting many of the large meeting spaces. Special press events may be transmitted live via our SD fiber connection with Verizon's AVOC. Our distribution amp at Verizon can be connected quickly to any of the major networks or other vendors located at the AVOC. The feed is available for the cost of your connection to our DA. If your network is already connected to our DA, look for notification of our intent to broadcast on EPA press advisory releases prior to each event.
Establish a full-time AVOC connection with EPA (Fee)
EPA Studio One will work to accommodate all requests for connections. Plan ahead. DA slots are available on a first come first serve basis for the cost of your connection.
Live audio feeds from EPA press events at EPA headquarters
In most cases, EPA will establish telephone conference lines for radio and other news journalists. Look for notification of availability on EPA press advisory releases prior to each event for the call in number.

Visit Headquarters Public Affairs:

The EPA Office of Public Affairs (OPA) includes a National Press Secretary supported by a Headquarters Media Relations Office and Regional Public Affairs Offices.

The press office is staffed Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Eastern except federal holidays.

OPA is located with the Administrator's Office on the third floor of the Ariel Rios North building. Entry is beneath the archway connecting the North and South Buildings and adjacent to the entrance to the DC Metro Federal Triangle station.

Visitors must be met and escorted. All visitors and their belongings are screened and camera crews should plan accordingly.
