Eugene Lee serves as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor for the Bureau of Industry and Security at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
In this capacity, Mr. Lee promotes continued U.S. strategic technology leadership and advances U.S. national security, foreign policy and economic objectives by helping to formulate global dual-use trade policy. As part of the senior management team, Mr. Lee helps oversee an organization with domestic and international operations, and works to develop and implement effective U.S. policy governing high technology and strategic trade.
Prior to joining the Department of Commerce, Mr. Lee worked at Morgan Stanley, most recently in Fixed Income Senior Relationship Management. A native New Yorker, Mr. Lee received his bachelors degree from Cornell University with majors in Economics and Government and earned his MBA from New York University with specializations in Finance, Strategy and Entrepreneurship.
