Title: | Administration of Security Guard Contracts |
Date: | April 17, 1998 |
Type: | Audit |
AV-1998-120 | |
Summary: | In a follow-up to our 1991 audit, we found that FAA had not corrected deficiencies in the administration of security guard contracts. Specifically, contractors did not: 1) conduct pre-employment suitability investigations; 2) obtain written certifications that the guards attended FAA-approved firearm training and that they demonstrated proficiency with their assigned weapon; and 3) obtain physical fitness certifications on guards. |
