Welcome to the fifth Atlantic Alliance Symposium.

As with last year's Symposium in Germany, the objective of the conference is to share the best health and safety practices in the aggregates industry between the Britain and the United States. Other countries represented and speaking in this year's Symposium include Germany, Spain and Ireland.

The conference will be attended by representatives of regulatory agencies and the aggregates industry, both of which are committed to reducing accidents in the aggregates industry to the minimum possible, and to improving occupational health practices and the health of our employees. Based on the success of last year's Symposium, we are finding that this conference provides an excellent venue for sharing information and best practices in safety and occupational health.
