The FPD program works with the academic community to promote needed changes in transportation planning and logistics degree programs. These changes are critical to ensuring the future availability of appropriately trained freight professionals. - Freight Academy: An Immersion Program for Public Sector Transportation Professionals - Sponsored by the I-95 Corridor Coalition, this week-long immersion program is designed to efficiently train public sector agency staff involved in planning, operational, and/or management work that impact goods movement decisions, investments and interactions.
- Colleges and Universities that Offer Supply Logistics-Related Courses
- Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals - Provides links to logistics education materials, case studies, online courses, and other logistics related information.
- Go! Magazine - This free online magazine is geared towards teens and young adults and explores transportation issues and topics. The November/December 2007 issue focuses on freight and includes a freight facts quiz, a virtual logistics game, an article that follows corn from the field to fuel, and other educational articles.
