     Kevin L. Powell asked the Board to review the determination of the Department of
Veterans Affairs regarding the relocation income tax allowance to which he was entitled
consequent to a move necessitated by a change in permanent duty station.  The employee
believed that the agency had calculated the allowance by applying a state income tax rate
from a state other than the one to which he paid income taxes.

     Mr. Powell has now told the Board that the agency has paid him the amount at issue. 
He has withdrawn the request that we consider the matter.

     Accordingly, the case is dismissed.
