The Sentinels Of Safety Program The Sentinels Of Safety Program

The annual Sentinels of Safety award program recognizes achievement of outstanding safety records, to stimulate greater interest in safety and to encourage development of more effective accident prevention programs among the Nation's mineral extractive industries. This program is cosponsored by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and the National Mining Association (NMA).

What’s My Award Status?

The following link shows contest results for each operating mine in 2007. You can check here to see if MSHA received a verification letter and if the mine qualified to receive a Sentinels of Safety certificate. All certificates are distributed through the district office associated with the participating operations.
