| Summary: | Matthew Kalejaiye, a former employee of Argenbright Security who assisted passengers with boarding and deplaning, was sentenced by a District Court judge in Atlanta, GA, to time served in jail for lying to Federal officials on his application for a security badge. He is being processed for deportation by INS. To date, three of five defendants arrested in February in a Federal security investigation of employees at Hartsfield-Atlanta International Airport have pleaded guilty to falsifying immigration documents and obtaining false Social Security numbers in order to obtain airport jobs requiring security badges. The investigation focused on three companies—Argenbright Security, International Total Services, and Service Master, Inc.—that provided large numbers of employees to Hartsfield for security and janitorial services, and as wheelchair attendants. The investigation was conducted by INS and OIGs from DOT, Social Security Administration, and Department of Labor, with assistance from the FBI, Atlanta Police Department, and Atlanta Hartsfield Security Office. |
