Title:Former Fugitive Bus Driver Jailed for Lying to Get CDL

Summary:Reubin Roosevelt Pete was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Greensboro, NC to 36 months in prison and fined $1,000 for using a false name to obtain a commercial driver’s license and to apply for a job at a motor coach company after his driver’s license had been revoked. Pete pleaded guilty to charges of providing false information on a Federal Drug Testing Custody and Control Form on June 12, 2000 and subsequently fled to avoid imprisonment. He was arrested on a fugitive warrant in Ohio and extradited to North Carolina for sentencing.
