Title:FAA Employee Pleads Guilty to Housing Voucher Fraud

Summary:Daniel Baussan, a FAA airways systems specialist pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, VA to charges of theft of public money for billing the agency for $4,000 in reimbursement for temporary housing costs for his family after he relocated in February 2003 from Michigan to Northern Virginia to accept a promotion. Baussan submitted three separate claims seeking reimbursement for subsistence expenses for his wife and three step children, when in fact; the family was still living in Michigan awaiting the end of the school year. As part of the plea agreement, Baussan agreed to reimburse FAA for the false claims. Sentencing is set for July 16.
