Metal/Nonmetal Mine Safety and Health

Conference and Litigation Representatives (CLR)

Last Updated 09/10/2003

Metal and Nonmetal established a Conference and Litigation Representatives (CLR) in each district office to conduct safety and health conferences with mine operators and miner’s representatives. Robert M. Friend, Metal and Nonmetal Administrator, believes this action will address enforcement inconsistencies.

Names, telephone numbers, and email addresses for these individuals may be obtained on MSHA’s web site at: http://www.msha.gov/district/mnm/mnmhome.htm and selecting the appropriate Metal and Nonmetal district office. A CLR representative will be selected for the Rocky Mountain District in the next few weeks and that name will be posted on their web page at that time.
