Title:Audit Initiated on Cost Issues of Air Traffic Consolidations

Summary:We will evaluate whether FAA is ensuring that workforce-related expenses associated with consolidations of air traffic facilities are necessary, cost-effective, and in the Government’s best interest. FAA is in the process of consolidating older Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) facilities into new facilities in Atlanta; Washington, D.C.; and northern California. FAA also plans to consolidate other TRACONs in the future.
