| Summary: | The Office of Inspector General plans to conduct a review of aviation infrastructure commitments. The objectives of our review will be to: (1) Determine the impact of the decrease in the Aviation Trust Fund and Passenger Facility Charges since September 11th on funding commitments for major airport infrastructure projects, and (2) Evaluate actions FAA and airports are taking to reprioritize or modify planned and ongoing infrastructure projects, given the increased security requirements facing airports as a result of the Aviation and Transportation Security Act. |
