Summary: | On November 15, the Inspector General, modal administrators and other Departmental officials joined Secretary Mineta in a meeting with Paul McNulty, the Acting Deputy Attorney General and U.S. Attorney (Eastern District of Virginia) to discuss their respective efforts to combat fraud, waste, and abuse. The Secretary highlighted a new DOT Order that establishes a strong, uniform policy on suspension and debarment of contractors who commit fraud involving DOT-funded programs. Acting Deputy Attorney General McNulty discussed his Procurement Fraud Task Force, in which OIG is participating along with other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. |
