An American Classic: Gene Snyder U.S. Courthouse and Custom House, Louisville, KYAn American Classic: Gene Snyder U.S. Courthouse and Custom House is a 16-minute film that highlights the history and architectural legacy of the Depression-era, Classical Revival style federal building. The building and city's fascinating pasts are woven together through archival and contemporary images along with stirring narrative including interviews with GSA associates, prominent tenants, and local historians. The 1932 Gene Snyder U.S. Courthouse and Custom House in Louisville, Kentucky, is one of the more than 200 legacy properties under GSA’s stewardship. The film is part of GSA’s efforts to support the Executive Order 13287, "Preserve America", which encourages Americans to explore and enjoy our nation’s heritage. It was produced for the Center for Historic Buildings, Office of the Chief Architect by the Video and Broadcasting Team, Office of Citizen Services and Communications.
