Thomas F. Eagleton U.S. Courthouse111 South 10th Street Named for former U.S. Senator Thomas F. Eagleton, the U.S. Courthouse in downtown St. Louis is more than a million square feet -- the largest single courthouse in the country. At 29 stories tall, the courthouse is a major landmark for the city of St. Louis. The exterior of the building follows a classical tripartite scheme, which utilizes the split-level stacking concept. General Building Information Hours of Operation The Eagleton Courthouse is open from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Visitors must have a valid ID and must pass through security screening before being granted entry. Visitors only have access to public spaces in the building. Parking Surface parking is not permitted adjacent to the Thomas F. Eagleton U.S. Courthouse city block. Parking inside the facility is assigned in accordance with the Federal Property Management Regulations, Chapter 101-20.104.1. The Courthouse Parking Association assigns excess employee parking to tenants on a waiting list. Assignments will change from time to time as some tenants vacate or are reassigned. Buildings Tours Tours of the building are available upon request. The U.S. District Courts conduct tours of the public areas of the courthouse including the East Entrance Atrium, the Harry A. Blackmun Rotunda and the En Banc Courtroom Lobby Area. Please call the number listed in the contact table below to make reservations. Building Amenities Cafeteria Located on the first level of the building, the cafeteria is open Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. for breakfast and 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for lunch. The grill closes at 1:45 p.m. Vending Machines The cafeteria provides vending services in the first floor cafeteria area. All malfunctions and refunds may be reported and obtained in the Cafeteria. Gateway Metro Credit Union The Gateway Metro Credit Union is located on the first floor and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All malfunctions may be reported directly to Gateway Metro at the number listed below. Fitness Center The fitness center is located on the first floor and membership is available to courts employees. The center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Courts employees can obtain a membership from the U.S. Court of Appeals. Employee Health Unit The Health Unit is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Unit has two full-time nurses and a doctor that visits 16 times a month. The team responds to medical emergencies throughout the building and provides free services such as blood pressure screenings/readings, electrocardiograms, administration of allergy extract, influenza vaccine, tetanus vaccine, and Mantoux Test (TB).
