Summary: | Melvin Kernick of Oakland, CA pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Oakland to charges of falsely certifying that maintenance he had done on a private plane had been reviewed by a certified inspector. An investigation found that Kernick had performed work on a privately owned AeroCommander aircraft at an airport in Danbury, CT and signed the name of an FAA-certified inspector in the plane's logbooks. |
