Title:Five Plead Guilty to CDL Scam in Mississippi

Summary:Arthur A. Millar, Jr., Ronald W. Smiedala, Frederick F. Hooks, Timothy W. Bolton, and Michael T. Schonewitz pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the United States in U.S. District Court in Biloxi, MS. Schonewitz, a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) examiner for the State of Mississippi was charged with giving passing scores on the Federally required CDL examination although the applicants either did not take or did not pass all portions of the exam. Bolton was also charged with taking a vision test for Hooks, who had a visual impairment preventing him from legally obtaining a CDL. The four men were employees of PoBoy Services, Inc., a commercial tow-truck company in Mobile, AL. PoBoy Services Inc. was earlier indicted and charges remain pending.
