Title:Florida Pilot Convicted of Making False Statements

Summary:On March 14, 2007, Vincent Milo was convicted by a Federal jury in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on charges of making false statements on his 2002 and 2004 airman's medical applications. Milo, a private pilot from Hillsboro Beach, Florida, was indicted on December 8, 2006 on two counts of making false statements. Milo claimed that he was not taking any prescription drugs when, in fact, he was receiving workers compensation from the U.S. Postal Service and was taking prescription medications. Sentencing is scheduled for May 25. This investigation was conducted jointly with the U. S. Postal Service OIG.
