Title:Former Air Traffic Controller Contractor Arrested on Federal Explosive Charges in Connection with Colorado Bombings

Summary:On April 5, Robert Burke a.k.a. Robert Pope, a contract air traffic controller at the Walker Field Airport Authority in Grand Junction, CO. and, former employee of Serco Group was taken into custody in Provo, UT on federal explosives charges stemming from
a string of bombing on March 24 in Grand Junction, CO. Burke was apprehended by special agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and officers from the Grand Junction, CO., police department on a federal warrant charging
him with placing improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at five residences in and around Grand Junction on March 24, 2006. The investigation was conducted jointly with FAA, ATF, the Grand Junction Police Department, U.S. Immigration and Customs
Enforcement, Bureau of Land Management and the Transportation Security Administration.
