Summary:	Paul D. Beall, a former FAA air traffic controller at Philadelphia International Airport, pled guilty in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia to making false statements on five applications for his Airman Medical Certificate. In October 2004, a federal grand jury in Philadelphia indicted Beall on five counts of making false statements on the applications for his annual Airman’s Medical Certificate between 2000 and 2004. Specifically, Beall failed to disclose that he suffered from several ailments, including hypertension; that he had been prescribed regulated medications; and that he had pled guilty to prior charges of driving under the influence. In April 2004, Beall was reassigned to non-aircraft controller duties, and retired from the FAA on January 31, 2005.
