Title:California Men Sentenced on Charges Related to the Transport and Sale of Illegally Imported Freon

Summary:Lloyd Douglas Yount and Michael Weiner were sentenced in U.S. District Court in San Diego, CA immediately following their guilty pleas on conspiracy charges related to transporting and selling R-12 Freon, a hazardous material which had been illegally imported from Mexico. Yount was sentenced to one year probation and fined a total of $1,100. Weiner was sentenced to one year supervised release as a result of his misdemeanor plea. This ongoing investigation is being conducted jointly with DHS-ICE, EPA-CID, and the FBI.
