| Summary: | To date 57 individuals have been arrested by FBI and OIG in the household-goods moving case in Florida. The case resulted in indictments issued in March against 16 moving companies and 74 individuals for scheming to defraud customers, primarily by giving “low ball” estimates and then withholding delivery of the goods until an exorbitantly inflated price was paid. Over 325 victims have been identified so far. |
