AFCISafety
AFCISafety.org is a one-stop information resource on the Internet for residential arc fault breaker safety information distributed by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Low Voltage Distribution Equipment Section.

ANSI Z535 Safety Standards
NEMA has published six different standards in the ANSI Z535 series of standards for safety signs and colors as well as a safety color chart for use with all ANSI Z535 standards. Each standard within this series has unique properties which can be used to alert people to hazards in the work place and at home.

CANENA
CANENA was founded in 1992 to foster the harmonization of electrotechnical product standards, conformity assessment test requirements, and electrical codes between Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI)
Formerly the National Electrical Safety Foundation (NESF), the ESFI was established in 1994 to promote electrical safety in the home, school, and workplace by building public awareness of the importance of electrical safety remains the Foundation's continuing mission. The Foundation works closely with associations, certification organizations, educators, government agencies, consumer interest groups, insurers, unions, and manufacturers interested in or actively involved in promoting electrical safety.

Electro-Federation Canada (EFC)
As a broadly based association, EFC stages a dialogue on issues affecting the electro-technical businesses in Canada. At the same time, the Federation's unique Council structure also provides the flexibility for its members from the different segments of the industry to deal with issues that are specific to their sector.

Enlighten America
The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has teamed with the lighting members of the electrical industry to launch a Web-based initiative aimed at saving energy and reducing energy costs in the 5 million existing commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings in the United States.

Industry Data Exchange Association (IDEA)
IDEA was created to manage the development of systems, which foster Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce), throughout the electro-industry. IDEA was jointly founded in 1998 by the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).

IDEA is endorsed by the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA), and the the Electro-Federation Canada.

Insulated Cable Engineers Association (ICEA)
The Insulated Cable Engineers Association (ICEA) is a professional organization dedicated to developing cable standards for the electric power, control, and telecommunications industries. Since 1925, the objective has been to ensure safe, economical, and efficient cable systems utilizing proven state-of-the-art materials and concepts.

International Code Council (ICC)
The International Code Council, a membership association dedicated to building safety and fire prevention, develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools.

Lamprecycle.org
Lamprecyle.org is sponsored by the Lamp Section of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) to encourage the recycling of spent mercury-containing lamps. The Lamp Section represents virtually all manufacturers of mercury-containing lamps that sell such lamps in the U.S.

National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED)
National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), is the electrical distributors' source for networking, education, and service. Since 1908, the National Association of Electrical Distributors has helped electrical distributors grow, prosper, and provide value-added service to their customers, suppliers, employees and the world at large.

National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA)
National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), founded in 1901, is the leading representative of a segment of the construction market comprised over 70,000 electrical contracting firms. The industry employs over 650,000 electrical workers and produces an annual volume of over $65 billion. NECA includes 118 U.S. chapters in addition to others in countries around the world.

National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
NFPA is a worldwide leader in providing fire, electrical, and life safety to the public. Established in 1896, the mission of the international, nonprofit, member organization is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the quality of life by developing and advocating scientifically based consensus codes and standards, research, training, and education.

National Lighting Bureau (NLB)
An organization alerting people to the benefits derived by improving the effectiveness of lighting systems anywhere that electric illumination is sold.

National Transportation Communications for ITS Protocol (NTCIP)
In conjunction with the AASHTO and ITE, NEMA is developing standards for the NTCIP to allow for interoperability between various transportation systems.

NEMA/ALA Lamp and Ballast Platform Matrix
Working with the lighting industry, the National Electrical Manufacturers Association and the American Lighting Association developed matrices of lamp and ballast combinations that, when used in residential lighting fixtures, are designed to meet certain Energy Star® performance requirements as defined in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star for Residential Light Fixture Eligibility Criteria for Version 4.0 of the specification.
