SUBJECT: Management Appointments at the Government Printing Office (GPO)
This is to advise you of the appointment of Michael F. DiMario to the position of Public Printer of the United States. Nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate, Mr. DiMario became the 23rd Public Printer at swearing-in ceremonies on November 23, 1993. Formerly GPO's Deputy Public Printer, Mr. DiMario had served as Acting Public Printer since February 19, 1993. A 20-year GPO veteran, Mr. DiMario previously served in numerous high-level management positions.
Public Printer DiMario announced the appointment of James N. Joyner to the position of Deputy Public Printer of the United States on December 13, 1993. Most recently the Director of Customer Services, Mr. Joyner also served as GPO's Assistant Public Printer (Administration and Resources Management), and was Director of Defense Printing Service from 1977 to 1985.
