Test Your Brakes After Repair

Printer Friendly Version
Safety and Health are Values!

Tips Drawing Before you put a vehicle back in service after repairs or maintenance, test the brakes. A fatality occurred shortly after a haul truck was repaired for a reported brake problem. The worn brake linings were replaced and the truck was placed back in service. The truck was later involved in a fatal accident due primarily to brake failure. The investigation found that the brake actuators were worn out.
