Definitions: Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have fewer than 500 employees. "Other Companies" include resource
extraction firms and various service companies (transport services, communications, engineering and management services,
business services, etc.). All "Unclassified Companies" are considered SMEs.

Notes: Figures include only identifiable or "known" exports, i.e., exports that can be linked to individual firms
using information on U.S. export declarations.
