SABIT Partnership Enables Company to Penetrate Belarussian Market

 

After meeting with company representatives during his SABIT training last year, Valeriy Rutskiy, from the SABIT Environmental Technologies program, returned to Belarus and was certified as a exclusive dealer of GE Osmonics, selling water treatment systems equipment and parts. Since establishing their partnership in 2000, over $165,000 of equipment has been sold in Belarus through Mr. Rutskiy.

 

International Standards Implemented by SABIT Intern in Ukraine

 

Alla Shutenko, from the SABIT Standards: Chemicals program, reported that as a result of the site visits and the information she received while in the United States, she was able to organize and lead her company's implementation of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards at her company, Stirol Concern, located in Gorlovka, Ukraine.

 

SABIT Intern Purchases Milling Machines for Light Aircraft Production

 

Aeroprakt, a Ukrainian aerospace company partially owned by SABIT participant Oleg Litovchenko, finalized an agreement with a representative of the HAAS company in Ukraine to purchase programmed milling machines, used for the production of long plane parts. The contract is valued at $200,000. Mr. Litovchenko participated in SABIT's Technology Commercialization: Aviation program in May-June 2003.
