Procurement Services
Procurement Services is responsible for the purchase of paper and ink, IT and other equipment, consulting and maintenance services, and other items and services necessary to support the day to day operations of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). Procurement Services is also responsible for the selling and disposal of property which has been determined unproductive to the overall mission and needs of the GPO. Procurement Services is comprised of two sections - Paper and General Procurements, and Specialized Procurements.
Paper and General Procurement
The General and Paper Procurements Section is responsible for purchasing items such as paper, ink, threads, printing plates, and other supplies and services required to support the various business units of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). These supplies and services are normally purchased on a recurring basis and are critical to the overall mission of the GPO.
Specialized Procurement
The Specialized Procurements Section is responsible for purchasing supplies and procuring services for the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) focused on the technological needs of the agency including consulting services, computer equipment, and maintenance support. The items and services procured generally require quick turnaround and are critical to the overall mission of the GPO. This Section also provides support for construction contracts and other special project requirements.
