Access to the Suitland Federal Center

All visitors must enter the complex using the Gate 5 main entrance on Silver Hill Road. Security Personnel will direct you to park in the fenced area to the right as you enter the complex. After parking your vehicle, go into the Visitor Center and present some form of picture identification. You will receive a temporary visitor pass after giving the name, location, and telephone number of the individual you are visiting. The telephone number for the acquisition office is 301-763-3342.

Parking Permit

You will also receive a temporary parking permit for your vehicle. Please be sure to have your licence plate number. Place the permit on the left side of the dash of your vehicle. It allows you to legally park in any space marked visitor or spaces reserved for general parking (white lines). Do not park in spaces with green or yellow lines, which are for special permit holders only.

Building Access/Security Check

You will access the building using the front entrance only. You should wear the visitor pass visibly above the waist at all times. The security guard will perform a security check on items you are bringing into the facility and ask you to step through the metal detector as well.
