The Special American Business
Internship Training (SABIT) Program
will invite 17 mid- to senior-level
managers and engineers from the
Eurasian refining sector to learn
about new advances in petroleum
processing technologies, standards,
and methodologies. These delegates, screened and selected by the U.S. Department
of Commerce, represent some of the top Eurasian refineries. In order to meet
the growing demand for petroleum products, the delegates are seeking American
technologies and solutions to increase efficiency and production in the refining
sector. This program will introduce delegates to the status and trends of the
U.S. downstream sector, covering topics such as refining technologies, engineering,
construction and operations.
The
program’s primary objective
is to provide these Eurasian
delegates with a comprehensive
understanding of new technologies
and services available in the
downstream sector from companies
based in the United States. This
objective will be carried out
through training seminars and
site visits to U.S. petroleum
refineries, engineering and design
firms, equipment manufacturers
and regulatory agencies. After
completion of the program, these
high-level managers and engineers
will be able to implement change
and make improvements in their
organizations in addition to
being prepared to work successfully
with U.S. partners.
SABIT offers a unique opportunity for U.S. companies to provide industry insight
and training while showcasing their products and services to their Eurasian counterparts.
By hosting this SABIT group, U.S. companies will build relationships with the
current and future leaders of the Eurasian refining sector. American companies
that host this delegation will find that these contacts are invaluable when exploring
commercial opportunities and partnerships in the region. Companies that are already
active in Eurasia will find that hosting complements and strengthens their presence
in the region.

the remaining three weeks, the
group will travel to New York,
Chicago and Houston
for detailed discussions, training
sessions, and site visits with
major oil refineries, engineering
firms, equipment providers and
service companies. The program
ends in Washington on September
10th.
SABIT is currently looking
