James Ausfahl (MD – Illinois) currently serves as Medical Director at Proctor First Care, a part of Belcrest Services. Dr. Ausfahl is a certified Medical Review Officer who currently heads up Proctor First Care’s drug screening program. He is board certified in occupational and environmental medicine. Prior to beginning work in 1989 as a staff physician at this facility, Dr. Ausfahl worked at an outpatient medical center as well as in solo private practice. Dr. Ausfahl serves on the faculty of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Department of Community and Family Medicine. He is a past member of both the Peoria City/County Board of Health and the Peoria City & County Tuberculosis Treatment Boards. He also serves on Proctor Hospital’s Blood & Medication Utilization Review Committee, Infection Control Committee, and Disaster Response Group. Dr. Ausfahl currently conducts approximately 775 CMV driver physical examinations annually.

William Lemon (DC – Alabama) graduated from Palmer College in 1972 with his doctorate in chiropractic. At that time, Dr. Lemon began conducting pre-employment physical examinations and physical therapy at Cleveland College in Los Angeles, California. For the next eight years, he maintained a private practice in Santa Barbara, California, where he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce Committee for Public Health and Safety. Dr. Lemon also worked with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Cal-OSHA to improve site inspections. Upon moving to Missouri, he worked in private practice and served as the President of the Missouri State Chiropractic Association, North East Area. Dr. Lemon is a past member of the American Chiropractic Association, the International Chiropractic Association, and state chiropractic associations in both Alabama and Missouri. He is currently semi-retired, maintaining a small practice in Alabama and devoting most of his time to conducting CMV driver physical examinations and drug screens for the truck driving schools in the northeast region of the state. He currently conducts 500 CMV driver physical examinations annually.

Patrick Leong (DO – New Hampshire) works as an urgent care and family practice physician at St. Joseph Family Centers in Merrimack, NH. In addition, Dr. Leong currently serves as Medical Director and Medical Review Officer for the Compliance Network of New England, a drug and alcohol testing company. Dr. Leong received his juris doctorate in 1994 from the Franklin Pierce Law Center. His certifications include a diplomate with the National Board of Examiners in Osteopathic Medicine & Surgery and completion of the Medical Review Officer Certification Course. Dr. Leong’s professional affiliations include the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the Medical Review Officer Certification Council. He performs 1,250 CMV driver physical examinations annually.

Jodi Maniscalco (PA – Massachusetts) currently works as a physician assistant at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts, as well as in the Urgent Care Unit of the Emergency Department of Noble Hospital in Westfield, Massachusetts. She is responsible for the care and treatment of work-related injuries, including initial evaluations, as well as coordinating care with other specialists in more complex cases. She conducts pre-employment and Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations as well as drug screenings. She has worked in a variety of settings, including family health centers, health and rehabilitation clinics and industrial clinics. Since 2004, Ms. Maniscalco has worked as an adjunct faculty member in the Springfield College Physician Assistant Program. She received special recognition from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in primary care and surgery. She brings a background in occupational health, emergency medicine, and family practice. Ms. Maniscalco conducts approximately 700 CMV driver physical examinations annually.

Michael Megehee (DC – Oregon) has been in private practice for the past 16 years in Pendleton, Oregon. He is a Vice President for the American Chiropractic Association Council on Occupational Health and is a member of the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners (OBCE) and the OBCE Rules Advisory Committee. He served as alternate delegate to the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards and the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He is a Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association Certified Professional Collector Trainer, a certified Breath Alcohol Technician and has been an instructor for a national manufacturer of alcohol testing equipment. Dr. Megehee completed Substance Abuse Evaluation and Medical Review Officer training from the American Association of Medical Review Officers, and his office provides third party administration, CMV driver examinations, on and off-site drug collections, and alcohol testing, in addition to treatment of injured workers and the public. Articles written by Dr. Megehee have appeared in professional magazines and the Journal of the American Chiropractic Association. He is a past member of the part-time faculty at Blue Mountain Community College, and his continuing education courses have certified chiropractors as Breath Alcohol Technicians, Screening Test Technicians and Drug Collectors, and include instruction in performing the CMV driver examination. Dr. Megehee conducts 250 CMV driver physical examinations annually.

Alfred O’Daire (PA – Virginia) is a physician assistant in Family and Occupational Medicine at the Primary Health Group in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to his work in this arena, Mr. O’Daire served in the United States Marine Corps and has worked in emergency medicine, forensic physiological sciences and as a San Diego, California police officer with specific duties in enforcement of CMV driver and motor carrier regulations. Mr. O’Daire has served three terms on the Health Advisory Committee as a medical representative for the city of Colonial Heights, Virginia. He currently serves as lecturer to the Virginia State Bar Association on forensic medicine and the use of scientific evidence at trial with a focus on sobriety testing and alcohol impairment. His certifications include DOT Breath Alcohol Technician and completion of the American Association of Medical Review Officers (AAMRO) Alcohol and Drug Certification Course. He has also completed the AAMRO Substance Abuse Professional course. Mr. O’Daire conducts approximately 50 CMV driver physical examinations annually.

Dennis Phillips (DO – Wisconsin) is a board certified osteopathic physician currently working in occupational and environmental medicine consultation, research, and evaluation at Aurora Occupational Health Services. While with this organization, he has worked with the Kohler Company, John Deere Horicon Works, Miller Brewery, and AOHS-Port Washington. Dr. Phillips has served as a consultant for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Social Security Administration, and as a Medical Review Officer for Outboard Marine Corporation and Delco and Delphi Companies (General Motors Corporation). In addition to other roles at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Phillips served as the Medical Director of St. Mary’s Hospital External Occupational Health and as a co-director of the residency program in occupational medicine. He also serves as Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and has been teaching at the university level for almost 20 years. He possesses a sound and varied research background, including work in occupational low back pain, ergonomic evaluation and design, and employee drug testing. Dr. Phillips served as a liaison with the American Academy of Family Physicians for the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and has served as Secretary-Treasurer, Vice President, and President Elect of the Central States Occupational Medical Association. Dr. Phillips conducts approximately 240 CMV driver physical examinations annually.

Joseph Sentef (MD – Tennessee) is a board certified family medicine physician and Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Sentef also obtained his Executive MBA in 2001 from Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia. He currently serves as CEO and President of Sentef Medical Centers, facilities specializing in occupational medicine and primary care in Tennessee and Georgia. He serves as a consultant and Medical Director - providing hands-on services in the areas of safety, drug screening, worker’s compensation and assessment of cardiovascular risks related to diabetes and hypertension - for companies including UNUM Provident Corporation, Mohawk Industries, and U.S. Xpress. Dr. Sentef also has experience working as Emergency Medical Director for two hospitals in Georgia and Tennessee for which he developed occupational medicine programs. He has been a certified Medical Review Officer since 1995. Dr. Sentef is a board-eligible member of ACOEM and a member of both the American Medical Association and Tennessee Medical Association. He is both a Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association Certified Drug Screen Collector/Trainer and Certified Breath Alcohol Intoxilizer B-200 Instructor. He brings a background in rheumatology, orthopedics, endocrinology, and psychiatry. Dr. Sentef conducts more than 3,000 CMV driver physical examinations annually.

Linda Sitton (APN – Missouri) currently works as a licensed nurse practitioner at OccuMed, a multi-specialty facility that is a part of the Freeman Healthcare System. Since 2004, Ms. Sitton has also served in the United States Air Force Reserves as a senior flight nurse. Ms. Sitton has worked in several different nursing environments, including delivering postpartum and nursery care, managing a labor and delivery unit, providing instruction as a flight nurse in the Air Force and a clinical professorship at California State University, San Bernardino. She also is part of the Visiting Professor Program at Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories, Inc. Her professional memberships include the Missouri Southern State College Nursing Honor Society, the Reserve Officer Association, and Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society. Ms. Sitton conducts 1,500 CMV driver physical examinations annually.

Rebecca Sturdevant (APN – Montana) currently works as a family nurse practitioner at the Occupational Health and Wellness Services group practice in Kalispell, Montana. She is a certified occupational health nurse with 10 years of specialized experience in occupational medicine including work injury and illness care, impairment assessment, and regulatory compliance. Ms. Sturdevant is certified as a Breath Alcohol Technician Instructor, Drug Specimen Collector Trainer, and Substance Abuse Program Administrator. She manages the drug and alcohol testing program for this 1,700-person corporation. Ms. Sturdevant provides training and consultation services for employers about drug-free workplace policies and procedures. She also manages drug and alcohol testing programs for 25 Northwest Montana employers with more than 2,000 employees. She brings a background in internal medicine including cardiology and nephrology, ambulatory care, patient education, and emergency care. Ms. Sturdevant currently conducts 200 CMV driver physical examinations annually.
