ARMY

United Defense Limited Partnership, Ground Systems Division, Santa Clara, Calif., is being awarded a $14,000,000 increment as part of a $14,556,031 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. This will obligate $556,031 for engineering support services for the Bradley Engineering and Manufacturing Development contract for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System A3 Upgrade program. Work will be performed in San Jose, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 25, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 15, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-94-C-0456).

Raytheon Co., Missile Systems Division Hq., Bedford, Mass., is being awarded $1,586,410 as part of a $10,498,939 (base year total) cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-reimbursable-no-fee contract with a cumulative total of $46,247,109 if all options are exercised. This project is for major item repair of U.S. owned and foreign government (Israel and the Netherlands) assets in support of the PATRIOT Missile System. Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. Of the total contract funds, $1,586,410 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 15, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-99-C-0001).

Raytheon Co., Missile Systems Division Hq., Bedford, Mass., is being awarded $9,168,567 as part of a $38,517,047 (base year total) cost-plus-incentive-fee contract, with a cumulative total of $104,705,007, if all options are exercised. The project is to repair and rebuild U.S. owned reparable spare parts in support of the PATRIOT Missile System. Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 1, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 2, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-99-C-0002).

  • Crowley American Transport, Inc., Jacksonville, Fla., is being awarded a $35,675,625 time charter contract for the charter of MV Sea Wolf, a U.S. flag vessel, which is a container ship with a limited amount of roll-on/roll-off space, and will be used in prepositioning of the Army general cargo in Guam/Saipan. Work will be performed in waters around Guam/Saipan, and is expected to be completed by October 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $35,006,091 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-97-C-2103 to exercise an option for design support, engineering and technical services for Seawolf class submarines. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $3,500,609 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

BF Goodrich Wheels & Brakes, Troy, Ohio, is being issued a $13,209,775 long-term (four-year) requirements contract for 3,710 wheel and brake assemblies for P-3 aircraft. Work will be performed in Troy, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by December 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00393-99-D-004A).
