Circular Letter No. 630

November 14, 2006

TO: Printing and Publishing Officials of the Federal Government

SUBJECT: Rider Orders for the Government Auditing Standards 2006 revision, commonly known as the Yellow Book

The Comptroller General of the United States has announced the opportunity to submit rider orders for the 2006 revision of the Government Auditing Standards, commonly known as the Yellow Book.  This new document supersedes the June 2003 revision of the Government Auditing Standards.

Please note that your requisitions (SF-1) for this publication are due to the Government Printing Office (GPO) no later than Tuesday, December 12, 2006.  Be sure to indicate the number of copies needed for all of the activities in your organization and include the   GPO jacket number 331-601. Requisitions should be forwarded to Agency Publishing Services, Requisition Section, Stop CSA, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, DC 20401.

Because the page count for this publication is not known, the rider rate has not yet been determined.  However, your requisition prior to production allows the printing of these copies during the regular press runs.  This results in substantial savings, which we are then able to pass along to you.  (Please note that rider rates apply to single destination, local delivery orders only.  Mailing costs, if incurred, will comprise an additional charge.)  Field or regional activities should coordinate their requirements with their Washington, DC, area headquarters’ printing officers before submitting any paperwork.

If you have any questions about the information contained in this Circular Letter, please contact your GPO Agency Publishing Specialist or call Agency Publishing Services on 202-512-0320 or 202-512-0238.

Sincerely,

JIM BRADLEY
Managing Director, Customer Services
