Figure 26 is a pair of line drawing plans comparing intersection corners with large and small radii
of curvature with diagonal curb ramps. On a corner with a small radius (20 feet or less), there
will not be enough room at the bottom of a diagonal curb ramp for a landing out of the lane of
travel of both streets. A corner with a larger radius will have enough landing space at the
bottom, but will not provide much sidewalk width for a curb ramp at the apex. |
