National Households and Families Projections

Projections of the numbers of households and families at the national level are produced periodically by the Population Projections Program of the Census Bureau. These projections are based on national population projections and assumptions about future household structure and family composition. The output tables include data on various factors related to household and family structure such as age of householder, the number of persons in households, household type (both family and non-family), race and Hispanic origin, persons living alone, and families with children under age 18.
