*The Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (SAIPE) program exists to provide annual estimates of selected income and poverty statistics for states, counties, and school districts which are controlled to the official national poverty estimates from the Current Population Survey (CPS) Annual Social and Economic Supplement (ASEC). The estimates are not direct counts from enumerations or administrative records, nor direct estimates from sample surveys, but rather modeled relations from a variety of sources. Estimating measures of uncertainty is an integral part of the overall process. For more details see http://www.census.gov/hhes/www/saipe/overview.html

*The American Housing Survey (AHS) collects data on the Nation's housing, including apartments, single-family homes, mobile homes, vacant housing units, household characteristics, income, housing and neighborhood quality, housing costs, equipment and fuels, size of housing unit, and recent movers. National data are collected in odd numbered years, and data for each of 47 selected Metropolitan Areas are collected currently about every six years. In 2004, the Census Bureau collected information about the New Orleans metropolitan area.
