ACS 1999-2001 and Census 2000 Comparison Study

ACS announces a new study comparing the ACS data from 1999 - 2001 in the 36 Test counties to the corresponding Census 2000 Sample data. These estimates, along with measures of data quality, were compared at the county and census tract level.

This comparison study contains analytical reports from the Census Bureau and local area experts, online data profiles at the county and tract level, online quality measures at the county level, and downloadable datasets.

2006 ACS Content Test

In 2006, the ACS conducted the first test of new and modified content since the ACS reached full implementation levels of data collection. The 2006 ACS Content Test report series presents the results of that testing which helped determine the content for the 2008 ACS.

Multiyear Estimates Study

In preparation for the 2008 release of multiyear estimates and to help data users begin to understand the characteristics of multiyear estimates, the Census Bureau conducted this Multiyear Estimates Study. Data profiles that include demographic, social, economic, and housing characteristics were produced for a broad set of geographic areas in 34 counties. Data products are available for counties, place parts, MCDs, school districts, Public Use Microdata Areas, ZipCode Tabulation Areas, American Indian areas, tracts, and block groups.
